Feeding Directions & Management Guidelines

Use the feeding table shown as a guideline.

Monitor body condition and adjust feeding rate to maintain desired condition.

Feed with clean, good quality hay at the rate of 1.0 -1.75 LB of hay per 100 LB of bodyweight (1.0 -1.75 kg of hay per 100 kg of bodyweight) or pasture equivalent.

Divide the recommended daily feed amount into two or more equally spaced feedings.

Do not feed more than 0.5% of bodyweight in any one feeding.

Fresh, clean water should be available at all times. Always cool down horses properly following exercise, including proper watering, before feeding.

Provide salt free choice at all times.

Vitamin and mineral supplements may be added when feeding EnergX™ Oat Replacer horse food as needed.
